About "A Handy Gentleman":
I have lived in West Chester since 2003. In 2007, I left my job as a Commercial Electrician in Philadelphia to become a stay-at-home parent with our then, 18 month old son and later, another son. A lot of my spare time has been spent on numerous projects either in my home or helping family, friends and neighbors with projects or issues that have come up in their homes. When my children reached school age, I started my handyman business as it's only employee.
I was an Electrician for 12 years and picked up a large number of skills, in addition to electrical work. I live in a house that my wife and I purchased in 2004. Our house was built in 1947. With the charm and character that comes with living in an older home, there are also maintenance issues that have needed to be dealt with regularly. Over time, I have acquired the appropriate power and hand tools for completing all of my projects and endeavors.
I would like to think I have an eye for detail and take great pride in my work. Typically, I have worked alone unless I physically can not complete the task by myself or the project is out of my scope of expertise. I would, however, be willing to work with a homeowner who needs a helping hand with a project they are trying to complete on their own.
If you are in need of small projects to be completed over a manner of a few days, weeks or months, I'm your guy. I'm typically not looking for long term renovation projects.
